1. Overview

Strategine was engaged by a consulting partner to support a global nonprofit working in youth engagement and digital empowerment. The project focused on designing a modern, interactive Power BI dashboard to track digital engagement across a large-scale program in India. The tool brought together data from media platforms, chatbots, and feedback loops to offer real-time insights into how young users were interacting with the organization’s digital channels.

  • Client: International Nonprofit
  • Sector: International Nonprofit (via consulting partner)
  • Location: South Asia
  • Service: Data & Dashboards
  • Timeline: 6-week sprint
  • Role: Power BI Developer & Data Strategist
  • Data Sources: Chatbot platform, YouTube Analytics, Meta Ads, Google Analytics

2. Challenge

The nonprofit’s teams were struggling with fragmented reporting. Data lived across several platforms and was being interpreted differently by different teams, which led to confusion and inconsistencies in performance tracking. A unified system was needed to bring key engagement metrics together, build trust in the numbers, and simplify how reporting was done across campaigns.

3. Solution

Strategine designed and developed a tailored Power BI dashboard that offered a clear view into the nonprofit’s digital engagement performance. The dashboard featured five distinct reporting sections: demographics, engagement trends, user feedback, flow exploration, and message-level analytics.

Beyond just the visual layer, we rebuilt the backend logic to standardize calculations for views, engagement rates, and feedback scores across all platforms. This ensured that the information shown was accurate, consistent, and ready for future expansion. The design made it easy for different teams, content, data, and operations to access insights without needing advanced technical knowledge.

4. Results

The new dashboard transformed how the organization tracked and understood its digital reach. Reporting became faster and easier to interpret, enabling team members to make more confident decisions using a unified source of truth.

It resolved past confusion around inconsistent metrics and streamlined collaboration across departments. Beyond the immediate gains in India, the solution was so effective that it became a model for replication in other countries, starting with Kenya and South Africa. This project laid a strong foundation for regional scaling and long-term data strategy success.
